How to un-do your up-do without the damage

Even the most unassuming of up-dos take a lot of product, pins & work to look effortless.

So much time and planning is invested into the wedding day hair style, but we all know what goes up must come down.

Here’s my step by step guide designed to take the guess work out of un-doing your up-do without damaging your hair.

👉🏼First things first. Starting from the nape of your neck, the crown of your head or wherever your hair was collected together and use your finger tips to feel around and gently slide out any bobby pins, elastics and hair accessories. Pop open and slide out any clip-in extensions if they were used as well.

👉🏼Next, slowly unravel your hair from the up-style. Use your fingers, wide tooth comb or boar bristle brush to gently separate any knots or tangles as you go, working them out at the ends of your hair first then working up towards the root.

👉🏼Once your hair is free, it's time to give it some TLC! I recommend using a few drops of Original & Mineral frizzy logic serum  to hydrate, nourish and detangle your strands.

👉🏼Rinse your hair in the shower and add a generous amount of a hydrating conditioner  Original & Mineral  hydrate and conquer range is perfect for this. The conditioner will help any hairspray or gel to loose it’s grip.

👉🏼Shampoo 2-3 times with a hydrating shampoo. Use a walnut size amount, lather it up in your hands, distribute on your scalp and use small circular motions with your fingertips then rinse and repeat.

👉🏼Once your hair is clean, condition the mid-lengths and ends once again.

👉🏼Apply a leave-in conditioner such as Original & Mineral know Knott and leave to dry naturally.
